Business solutions by Zazzle Products1

This week we are profiling Zazzleproducts1. When I started at Zazzle two years ago, this was one of the very first stores I came across. In fact, just from the name I thought that it was Zazzle's very first store EVER! (Kudos go to Olympia for grabbing this name.) She was also one of the very "first" Zazzlers I met and now count her among my Zazzle family ("Zamily" ...thank you GLManley!) , always supportive and a creative inspiration to all. I'll even admit, that her store was one I used for reference when I was trying to figure out what I was doing on Zazzle and how I should set up my own stores.  She has a staggering amount of products across a number of shops at Zazzle. Her style tends towards bold graphics in a wide variety of colors. Some of my most favorite products that she does are t-shirts, however, we focus on business products here.

Being one of the first Zazzle stores I came across, I found across this business card, one of the first product designs with which I became familiar with at Zazzle.
It is one of her top sellers and it's obvious to see why it is. Bright, graphic and completely versatile. She frequently uses bold graphics throughout her store, often in bright attention-getting colors.

This is also another one that I remember from my own "early Zazzle days". A clever use of graphics leaves no mistake as for what kind of business this could be used. I like that the type treatment is simple on the front, letting the graphic speak for itself.

I find that Zazzleproducts1's designs can fit many kinds of businesses. The image fits well on the card to offset the typography. The colors are cheerful and the subtle pattern added to the pink area gives it  extra visual interest.

I love the skinny business cards for simple, personal introductions. Bold graphics and exuberant colors work well on this card and due to the small size of these cards, Zazzleproducts1 has done well in keeping the type to a minimum and maximizing legibility. The skinny business cards are small and often designers will add too much text to both sides. I like these cards with just a touch of text that lets the graphic stand out as it does in the sample shown above.
This is a profile card that can also work well for any business or individual. The stitching and drop shadow gives it a 3-dimensional feel. The floral pattern and pale blue colors are restful and pleasing to the eye.
This is an adorable card with cheerful, soft colors used here for an interior designer. I can see this also working well for a children's boutique or confectionary/ice cream shop. I like how the front typography treatment is kept simple to balance the patterned art with the main contact information on the back.
This is a wonderful card that uses a pattern that would overwhelm as a full graphic. It's been made effective as a strip to contrast against the simple rich black, making it extremely versatile.
This business card utilizes a beautiful image in a closeup so you can see the individual sketch lines. There is also a nice touch adding the image as a watermark in the background. Again, a simple type treatment on the front that lets the artwork be prominent.
If you go to Zazzleproducts1's home page, you'll see this is the iconic image of her store. An adorable house that fits well for a day care center or any child-centered business.

Above is a business card that is class all the way. The gold damask pattern against a rich black gives it an elegant look. The typography balances well centered between the ornaments.
This card uses a damask pattern that is multifaceted. Traditional blackletter typography lends itself to the damask pattern below giving it a formal feel, contrasted by the loose calligraphic script of the business description. The pink and black are a contemporary color combination.

This is a wonderful binder for a yoga studio as it is portrayed here, but it would work well as a customized binder for a student or any health-centered profession. The pink and green complement each other nicely. The graphics are unique and convey health and wellness.

Stop by Zazzleproducts1's shop on Zazzle to see even more business solutions in addition to a huge array of other paper products and gifts for all occasions.

Spotlight on Superstarbing

Superstarbing is someone I definitely wanted to review sooner rather than later. She has graciously highlighted my work as well as many other talented Zazzlers on her own blogs. So, it's time to give back.

Dominant in Superstarbing's business work is the vast use of patterns. She has many color options for each design with ornamental elements added to emphasize the visual effect.
This is a clean, modern design used here for a web design company. However, I can also see it working well for the technology sector. The circular grid pattern in effective in conveying connectivity with the company name standing out against a clean white with a red border to echo the pattern used.

This background has a quilt-like feel but then it reminds me of molecules strung together. Used here for a vintage apparel shop it portrays a retro feel that is done in a contemporary way. Overall a very unique look and I love the raspberry color.

I love a minimal look where a logo is strong enough to stand on its own. The sans serif typeface works well with the blocky symbol.
Can I rave enough about this? The pattern is fabulous and the coordinating type treatment is spot-on. Superstarbing has hit a home run with using this for a trendy clothing store. Also shown is a similarly patterned address label blending perfectly together.
In my eyes, this pattern has a slight Arabic or southeast Asian feel, but it can work for any type of business that has a unique flair including a retail shop or food establishment. I love how patterns convey an idea even if it's used on a generic business card. They speak to you even if you're not sure of the pattern's origins. This card is a prime example.
This business card makes use of a striking, bold graphic in an attention-getting orange. I find this extremely versatile and it would stand out in a pile of business cards.
This is an excellent choice of business type for the streaked background with a perfect coordinating typographic style.

Can we just say how pretty this lovely floral card is? The two floral pattern layers give it dimension allowing it to work for not only an interior designer as it is used here, but a great variety of other consumer based businesses.

Here are some samples of business labels that use versatile patterns
This one is refreshing, clean and simple (and I happen to love aqua). The Industrial Roman font balances well with the pattern.
Nice professional look but with a little bit of a twist. On closer inspection, you can see that the pattern used is a scribble which lends graphic intrigue and a suggestion that the company using it is perhaps not as staid as you might think!
