The Business Designs of J32Teez

This week we have chosen to feature J32 Design. What seems to be a dominant style in his store is the clean quality of the business designs. Typography is carefully placed and the designs have an obvious attention to negative space. There is a wide variety of products for many business types, ranging from very corporate to more whimsical products.
This coffee shop business card is a refreshing change from coffee-colored palettes and close up photographs of coffee beans. This has a clean look to it and there is no unnecessary fussiness about it. Ideal for a coffee business that is serious about their coffee.
The logo for this real estate business card and letterhead has a clean simplicity to it and conveys the business niche immediately. It's a nice touch how the contact information and website all fit together to make the home structure.
Textural images are sometimes used out of context, however the texture of a metal grate perfectly fits into the business type. The typeface is bold but has a weathered feel, as if it were, in fact, under construction itself.
This card projects a taxi service immediately due to the bright yellow color and the checkerboard pattern. The front of the card displays only the relevant information that a customer would need, making it legible and attention-getting.
This corporate business card has a unique look in that the artwork was manipulated to suggest a three-dimensional effect. It appears that the beige panel is actually inserted into a flap in the card, tying in well with the block structure of the logo.
The shading on this American flag-style business card is spot-on. The beige background gives it an aged feel and I prefer it over a traditional white background which might appear too stark and overwhelm the information.

In combining a wine-colored background, the Huxley Vertical typeface and the image, the ambiance of an upscale cocktail bar feel is instantly conveyed.
This is a two-color letterhead that utilizes a graphic image of a home to represent the real estate business. It has a corporate feel but the yellow color gives it a bit of panache.
A clever illustration dominates this business card for construction companies. The city and crane resting on the top of the hammer implies a large, urban commercial construction company. The construction warning pattern is a genius touch.
This skinny business card uses an easily adaptable, effective logo emphasized by its own black panel to contrast the blue around it. The size of the card is convenient and simple to use.
With the increase in "green" awareness and companies striving to be more environmentally aware, this business card targets companies whose industry is solar power. The frame around the solar panel implies the edge of a leaf without being overt and the green of the background helps to play up the environmental slant of the business.

This is just a sampling of the wonderful business products available at J32 Design. To see the complete set plus much more, make sure you check out the shop soon.

Sunny Mars Designs

Sunny Mars is the featured shop this week. Overall, her work features wonderful illustrations and in fact, she contributes to numerous stock illustration websites. Her style for business products focuses around these images as logos. At the time of this writing, she is also the author of an incredible 133 Squidoo lenses, a majority of them featuring business cards for particular industries. Sunny Mars has kindly included many of our products in these lenses.
Sunny Mars has used variations of this eye illustration on many products, but this is the one I feel is most representative. Combining the closeup of the iris and pupil with a camera lens conveys the profession immediately.

This series for a gym, fitness studio or personal trainer uses a clean, successful logo reminiscent of DaVinci's "Vitruvian Man" but given a modern feel. The focus is on the logo and the type treatment is fitting to the industry.
This business card features a contemporary, unique illustration. Mixing "green" with a traditional caduceus is a brilliant concept and its easy to see why this is such a popular item. Having it against a rich brown background also lends to the "green" feel.
Business cards that are simple and to-the-point can be more effective than adding a large amount of information and making the card too busy. All that is needed on this business card is the request for Twitter followers with the twitter name on the back. Fun, graphic and compelling.

This iconic image from Sunny Mars comes in a full suite of matching products. I prefer when artists and designers use a business image and fill out their product lines. Companies do not always just need business cards and it is good practice to have all kind of corporate identity products available. The yoga pose image is powerful, made even moreso with the glow surrounding it.

Not only can Sunny Mars do conceptual or whimsical illustrations, but she also can go in other directions. This card is corporate, suitable and versatile for almost any professional business. The tan panel has a wonderful texture which gives the card depth.
The tribal tattoo has a terrific glowing effect for this tattoo shop business card. The typography is fitting to the industry. This black-and-white version is just one of nine color combinations so the difficult part is choosing!
The most effective illustrations convey an idea immediately and this business card is no exception. The image of a home or inn with a plate and silverware behind it instantly communicates the type of business. The typography surrounding it is crisp and clean with the business name given a bit of flair above it using the script font. The graphic is repeated on the reverse for visual interest.
This delightful business card for a preschool is a relatively new addition to Sunny Mars shop. The background image is a textural blackboard and the card has appropriate bright colors and typography.
